ACADEMIC MAP (Effective Summer 2023 and after)

*Please Note: Face-to-face/in-person instruction of this program is available ONLY at the main campus in Tallahassee, FL. This program is NOT available via Online/Distance Learning.*

This map is a term-by-term sample course schedule. The milestones listed to the right of each term are designed to keep you on course to graduate in four years. The Sample Schedule serves as a general guideline to help you build a full schedule each term. The General Education and Elective courses must be selected to satisfy all area and diversity requirements unless your program meets these requirements with major courses. Milestones are courses and special requirements necessary for timely progress to complete a major. Missing milestones will result in one of two types of map registration stops. The first level (Degree Map Off-track) is placed following grade posting if the student has missed a milestone (course and/or GPA) for the first time in the major. If a student is in non-compliance with milestones for two (2) consecutive semesters (excluding summers), a Major Change Required stop is placed on the student's registration.

Admission to this program of study requires a successful audition in dance, acting, and singing. Consult advisor each term regarding course scheduling, course availability and prerequisite requirements.

The curriculum for B.F.A. degree students in music theatre is a pre-professional program that provides intensive, in-depth training. It will provide the foundation necessary and essential for continued specialization in acting at the graduate level or in the professional theatre.

Admission is by audition. Auditions are held every January and February for fall admission. Auditions are open to incoming freshmen, transfers and current students. The audition must be accompanied by an acceptable academic record and up-to-date transcripts and resume. Contact the School of Theatre for details. Students applying to the BFA program need to apply to both the School of Theatre and University Admissions

Nursing

ACADEMIC MAP (Effective Summer 2024 and after)

*Please Note: Face-to-face/in-person instruction of this program is available ONLY at the main campus in Tallahassee, FL. This program is NOT available via Online/Distance Learning.*

The academic map is a term-by-term sample course schedule. Milestones are courses and special requirements necessary for timely progression to complete a major.

Nursing is a Specialized Admissions major. This Nursing academic map is designed to guide you from your first semester to graduation within four years. To progress on the nursing map, you must complete all milestones by the end of each semester. Milestones include required prerequisite coursework and minimum overall GPA. Please refer to the College of Nursing website (nursing.fsu.edu) for more information regarding admission requirements and application deadlines.

Please note:
• Students must complete all Nursing prerequisites with a final grade of C or better. A final grade of C minus (C-) will not be accepted.
• Students must have an overall minimum GPA of 3.0 to be eligible to apply to the College of Nursing.
• Students must complete all Nursing prerequisites by the end of the semester in which they submit their application.
• Students must complete all general education requirements by the end of the semester in which they submit their application.
• Students must complete the following graduation requirements by the end of the semester in which they submit their application.

Students must choose one of the following options:
o Option A: 2 state-mandated writing, 1 civic literacy, 1 diversity, and 1 oral communication
o Option B: 2 state-mandated writing, 1 civic literacy, and 2 diversities

Example: If the application is submitted in the Spring for Fall admission, all Nursing prerequisites, general education requirements, and the listed graduation requirements must be completed by the end of the Spring semester.
